Laura McKelvey is a staff member with over 17 years of experience in tax, audit, accounting and bookkeeping. She has significant experience working with many types of real estate entities, homeowner’s associations, non-profits and small business owners. Laura provides CPACG clients with accounting and bookkeeping services such as business licenses, payroll & sales tax as well as personal & business tax preparation.
She is a graduate of Georgia State University and is eligible to sit for the CPA exam. She started her accounting career as an intern for KPMG, LLP. Following graduation from GSU, she worked in the international expatriate tax compliance center at Arthur Andersen, LLP. Since then, she has worked as a tax professional for a small CPA firm and a REIT as an auditor and a bookkeeper.
Laura is from Mountain Brook, AL but has also lived in several other states. She moved to Nashville from Hawaii where her work took her to several islands to audit charities and large non-profit organizations. After 8 years on Maui, she moved to the Nashville area where all her immediate family now resides.
Laura currently lives in Franklin and attends St Philips Catholic Church. She is a member of the Nashville chapter of Chi Omega Alumnae. She enjoys outdoor activities, crafts, travel & spending time with her family.
